1. For all J2's to have the discipline to manage studies and band!
2. For J1 Band Members to get settled down to JC life and work hard as a new band member
3. For all band members to be blessed with good health as this would be a very hectic year.
4. Every Band Practice will be productive and filled with fun and laughter, peace and joy.
the year is ending
Hello, my fellow batch members! this past year has been a very memorable one for me and i'm sure for all of us, we do share the same feelings towards the band. from a scrappy and undefined J1 batch to a more matured group facing the upcoming syf.
As we look back this year, 2006, from the first performance we had with the J2s, the Saints Ascencio and finally to our exchange programme with SMU, we could see how our batch developed from mere nothing to a band that has the potential to perform music at the highest level. We capped of the year with a good and creditable performance and positive feedbacks from Mr Glosz. Thus, we should build up on the positives and learn from the negatives so that we would not make the same old mistakes next year. We managed to overcome the obstacles, problems and reconcile any indifferences. we know that we can click its just a mtter of whetehr we want to get our act together right?Mr Glosz told our leaders that we just need to be positive and optimistic about ourselves and smile more! That would help us in improving on our job of music making. I totally agree with that. We need the passion that were in us during the good ol' days in Perth. The council members, the SLs and ALs too have worked hard in ensuring that the band runs smoothly and meeting the needs of the band especially during the band camp. Whilst not forgetting the rest, each and everyone of us is an individual cell that makes up the band and thus we are equally important.
Looking forward to next year, we've goals to be accomplished, mainly the recruitment, our own concert and the syf itself. I believe that everyone would want to feel the sense of achievement for the concert and the syf and i'd like to encourage you guys to press on these next few months, put in the effort and i'm sure you all would like emulate the success of the previous batches or make it even better. all of us have a part to play and we should encourage and support each other so that no one is left behind. we do want to make this band journey a very special and memorable one not only for Mr Glosz, the teachers and us, but also for sajc band. Let's embrace the new year with the passion in us and welcome the J1s with the most heartiest welcome. Afterall, our job is not just to achieve success for the band only but also to ensure that the legacy of sajc band continues.
On behalf of my batch, i'd like to give thanks to Mr Glosz, Mr Benji Yeo, the teachers-in-charge, especially Ms Ho and the Alumni who guided and adviced us on the management of the band and also the encouragement to make good music throughout the year. I am really looking forward to a pleasant and enjoyable year ahead.
To the past, present and future members of SAJC Concert Band
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All! take care and have a good week of rest before our band prac starts again!

hey gals and guys. this is baika here blogging. sorry for not attending the party tonight. not that i dont want lar.. got food and ppl to have fun with, watever fun u all want lar. but the inconvenience and the pain.. cannot tahan lar.. sorry..
once again i didnt c any bassoon players coming for audition during the appeal yesterday. abit sad lar.. but well. wat to do.. give me a junior leh.
anyway. was looking through the posts by the SYF 04/05 batch through the archives. shall not comment much abt wat i saw, but i somehow have the feeling that i understood what our fellow seniors are addressing through their posts.
SYF might be just 4 and a half months away, but think abt it. we have our j1s coming in and joining us within a month, and other than mastering the piece itself, we still must coach them and tax ourselves with the homework, not forgetting the fun we will have. haha. but i just do not wish ourselves to be slogging everyday from nxt month onwards due to our effort put in currently. i really do not wish any of our batch ppl to breakdown and let go after the hardwork we alr put in through the holidays and band camp. have u improved in ur playing over the past 2 months of holidays? if yes, do u think u can move on further? if no, why not, and are u doing something to correct it?
really encourage u guys to read the posts between april to may 2005. truly meaningful. other posts are also encouraged, for us to know how SAJC band is a place of enjoyment for them during their days. paiseh ar. sounds abit old. haha.
PARDON my language if u all cannot comprehend. i tried my best. haha.
