sajc bandsome made it some did not...whatever the case, however the situation, J2s, lets rejoice n be with our juniors who need us ya? especially when they call on us...i guess having individuals on friday was a gd idea...my mind was jus wondering all over the place after hearing the J1s results...happy, sad, angry?could not really concentrate, the flu i had was jus making things worst...hmmmm before the second intake of J1s come in to join us, i urge all the J2s to really really reflect upon yourselves. What i mean is, mistakes that we've made during our experience with the first batch, lets not repeat it again. How should we as J2s should behave, the standards that we have to set not only for ourselves but for the band. Lets make plans for the band, for the second batch. How are we going to welcome them and help them settle in asap. How are we going to accept those who are different from us. how are we going to help those who are starting from the basics, who have a weak foundation in their playing skills. How are we as J2s going to lead them. How are we going to bond with not only those in our section but away from us. How are we going to reveal to them our expectations, our goals, our dreams. How are we going to infect them with our passion...i believe that all the ans. to these questions are not common sense and would not be stumbled upon us we spend time with the new J1s but they really need to be thought through. Just like we need to display the passion in us in our every band practise, to expect a heart touching performance at the end of the day. And not expect things to be what we desire during performance day when we do not even put in the effort to achieve what we desire on a band practise day.We can't say that we'll give our very best on a performance day unless we've done that for every band practise and practise because we have never discovered what was our 'very best'The band room at Malan Road is so memorable to us and we miss it so much is because we made it be so memorable...how much u miss that band room, is cos of how u've made that band room to be so 'missable'There would be no band room if there were no band members...no success in our events if there were no passion, hardwork n band members...that is how important your role is in SAjc band, how important you are to SAjc band... addi at 2:25 AM 0 comments
